Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall (500 - 1000 mm) was observed over a few isolated areas in western Kenya, south-western Uganda, and north-western Burundi.
Moderate rainfall (200 - 500 mm) was observed in south-western Ethiopia, south-western parts of South Sudan, much of Uganda, western and central parts of Kenya, much of Rwanda and Burundi, and north-western, western, eastern and south-western Tanzania.
Light rainfall (10 - 200 mm) was observed in several parts of Eritrea, Djibouti, southern Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia, north-eastern Uganda, northern, eastern, and southern parts of Kenya, and north-eastern, central, and southern Tanzania.
Dry conditions (usual during this time of the year) were observed in the northern and central parts of Sudan, and some parts of north-eastern Ethiopia, north-eastern Somalia, and north-western Kenya.
Wetter and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few places of western Ethiopia.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in parts of western and southern Sudan, several parts of Eritrea, western and north-western Ethiopia, several parts of South Sudan, much of Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi, western parts of Kenya, and several parts of Tanzania.
Drier and much drier than usual conditions were observed in parts of central and southern Sudan, central, eastern, and southern Ethiopia, several parts of Djibouti, north-western and south-eastern South Sudan, several parts of Kenya, much of Somalia, and north-eastern and south-eastern Tanzania.
Moderately to severely wetter than usual rainfall conditions were observed in a few areas in south-eastern Sudan, western Ethiopia, central and south-central South Sudan, south-western and western parts of Uganda, parts of western Kenya, north-western Rwanda, and in a few places of western Tanzania.
Moderately drier than usual to extremely dry conditions were observed in central to western and southern parts of Sudan, much of western and south-eastern South Sudan, southern parts of Eritrea, several parts of Djibouti, north-eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, much of Somalia and Kenya, and in south-eastern Tanzania
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region including western Eritrea, parts of north-western and central South Sudan, north-western and eastern Ethiopia, north-western Somalia, parts of central and western Kenya, several parts of Uganda and Rwanda, much of Burundi, and several parts of Tanzania.
