Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall between exceeding 500 was observed over parts of western Ethiopia, parts of western highlands of Kenya, and in a few parts of south-western Uganda.
Moderate rainfall between 200 - 500 mm was observed in much of South Sudan, in western and north-western parts of Ethiopia, in much of Uganda, in western and central parts of Kenya, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in north-western parts of Tanzania.
Light rainfall between 10 - 200 mm was observed in central and southern parts of Sudan, in much of Eritrea and Djibouti, in northern, central, eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, in several parts of Somalia, in north-eastern, eastern coastal and southern parts of Kenya, and in several parts of Tanzania.
Dry conditions (usual during this time of the year) were observed in the northern parts of Sudan, in north-eastern part of Somalia, in north-western parts of Kenya, and in central Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few isolated places in western highland of Kenya, and in western and eastern parts of Sudan.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of central, eastern and southern parts of Sudan, much of Eritrea and Djibouti, much of South Sudan, northern, western, central and north-eastern Ethiopia, in north-western Somalia, much of Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, in western parts of Kenya, and in north-western, western and south-western parts of Tanzania.
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in southern and eastern Ethiopia, north-eastern, central and southern Somalia, in northern, eastern and southern Kenya, and in several parts of northern, central, eastern and southern Tanzania.
Moderate to severely wetter than usual rainfall conditions were observed in a few isolated areas in eastern, western, and south-eastern Sudan, southern Eritrea, parts of northern and western Ethiopia, central parts of South Sudan, south-western Uganda, parts of western highlands of Kenya, and in north-western Rwanda.
Moderately drier than usual to extremely dry conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in north-western, south-western and south-eastern parts of South Sudan, in southern parts of Ethiopia, several parts of north-eastern, central and southern Somalia, in north-western, north-eastern, central and south-central parts of Uganda, several parts of Kenya, several parts of Burundi, and in north-western, central, north-eastern and southern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
