Rainfall

- Higher than usual rainfall was recorded over much of Tanzania, Kenya, central and northern parts of Somalia, Djibouti, parts of southern, central and northeastern Ethiopia extending to Eritrea, and localized areas in northeastern South Sudan.
- Normal conditions were observed over Rwanda, Burundi, and adjacent areas of Tanzania, Uganda, much of South Sudan, much of Ethiopia, and northern parts of Sudan
- Drier than usual conditions were recorded in southern parts of Sudan, the southern tip of Tanzania and isolated areas in the southern coast of Somalia
