Rainfall
Moderate to high rainfall exceeding 100mm occurred in northern, western, and central parts of Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-100mm occurred in southern parts of Sudan, in southwestern Eritrea, in much of South Sudan, in northern, central to eastern Uganda, and in western parts of Kenya.
Light rainfall of between 6-25 mm occurred in central to eastern Sudan, central Eritrea, in southern and southwestern Uganda, in coastal Kenya, in western and central Rwanda, and in northwestern Burundi.
Much of the rest of the region recorded less than 5 mm of rainfall
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in western, central to eastern parts of Sudan, in northwestern part of South Sudan, and in western and south-central Uganda.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in southeastern Sudan, in northern, western, northeastern and central parts of Ethiopia, in parts of central and southern Eritrea, in parts of southern and eastern South Sudan, in parts of northern and eastern Uganda, western and central Rwanda, and northwestern Burundi.
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in parts of southwestern Sudan and western to eastern Sudan, in parts of northwestern South Sudan, and in western and southwestern Uganda.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in southeastern Sudan, in parts of central and southern Eritrea, in northern, northeastern, western and central parts of Ethiopia, in parts of southern and southeastern South Sudan, in north eastern parts of Uganda, in western and central Rwanda, in northwestern Burundi, and in parts of western Kenya.
Near normal rainfall condition was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in several parts of South Sudan, in western Eritrea, in southern parts of Somalia, in much of northern Uganda, and in parts of western and coastal Kenya.
