Wetter than usual conditions were observed in several parts of Tanzania, in southwestern South Sudan, in southern part of western Kenya, and in parts of northwestern and eastern Uganda.

Drier than usual conditions were observed in central and southern parts of Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in parts of northern, central and southwestern Ethiopia, in southeastern South Sudan, in eastern part of Uganda, in southern Rwanda, and in several parts of Burundi and Kenya.

No rainfall conditions were observed in much of Sudan, in western Eritrea, several parts of Somalia, in northeastern and eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, in northern parts of South Sudan, and in part of northern and northeastern Kenya,

Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall of between 51-200 mm was observed in parts of southwestern parts of Kenya and in several parts of Tanzania.

Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in parts of central, southwestern and southern Uganda, in parts of western and southern coast of Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda, in southern parts of Burundi.

Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm was observed in western and southern parts of South Sudan. In southwestern parts of Ethiopia, in southern parts of Somalia, in northeastern Uganda, in northern parts of Kenya, and in northeastern, central, southwestern and southern parts of Tanzania.

Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in much of Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Somalia, in much of northern central, eastern and southeastern South Sudan, in part of northeastern Uganda, and in much of northern, central and eastern Kenya.

Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in several parts of Tanzania, northwestern and eastern parts of Uganda, and in southwestern South Sudan.

Moderately dry conditions were observed in the southern parts of Ethiopia, southeastern South Sudan, several parts of Burundi, in southwestern Rwanda, and in several parts of northern, central and eastern Kenya

Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
