Rainfall
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in southwestern and central parts of Ethiopia, in northern central and southeastern parts of Uganda, and in western, southwestern and parts of southern Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in parts of southwestern Uganda, in southern and southeastern parts of Kenya, in northern Burundi, and in northeastern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in central and southwestern parts of Ethiopia, in several parts of northern, central to southeastern Uganda, in western part of Kenya, and in western, southwestern and parts of southern Tanzania.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in western and northeastern Uganda, in several parts of western, central, southern and coastal Kenya, in southern Rwanda, northern Burundi and in northeastern and coastal parts of Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in much of Sudan, South Sudan, western Eritrea, Somalia, in western and eastern Ethiopia, northwestern Uganda, and in much of northern Kenya.
Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 51-200 mm was observed in much of western and southern Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in southern Burundi, in part of southwestern Ethiopia, in southwestern Uganda, and in parts of northwestern and central Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in parts of central and southwestern Ethiopia, in northern, central and southern parts of Uganda, in western parts of Kenya, in much of Rwanda, in northern Burundi, and in northern and northeastern parts of Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in much of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan, in several parts of Ethiopia, in northwestern, western and northeastern Uganda, in several parts of Kenya, and in northeastern Tanzania.
