Rainfall
Moderate rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in western, northern and eastern parts of South Sudan, in southern parts of Sudan, in parts of western and northeastern Ethiopia, in northwestern part of Somalia, in several parts of Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, and in parts of western Kenya and northwestern Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in southern parts of Sudan, in parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, in central and southern parts of South Sudan, in northern, central, southern and eastern Ethiopia, and in several parts of central and southern Somalia, central, northeastern and coastal Kenya, and in northwestern and eastern Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in parts of western and southern Eritrea, in much of Djibouti, in northwestern, western and eastern South Sudan, in parts of northern and northeastern Ethiopia, in parts of northwestern Somalia, and in a few isolated areas in northwestern and western Uganda, and parts of eastern Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in parts of eastern Sudan, parts of central and southern South Sudan, in northeastern and eastern parts of Uganda, and in western parts of Kenya.
Usual rainfall conditions and no rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, western and parts of southern Eritrea, in northwestern Somalia, in northern and northeastern Ethiopia, in northwestern and eastern South Sudan, in northwestern, western and south-central parts of Uganda, in parts of eastern Tanzania.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in a few areas in central and eastern Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in parts of central and southern South Sudan, in north-central and parts of southeastern Ethiopia, in parts of southern Somalia, in northeastern Uganda, and in western and northwestern Kenya
No rainfall condition was observed in the northern and central parts of Sudan, in coastal Eritrea, in southeastern Ethiopia, in centra, northeastern, and southwestern Somalia, in several parts of northern, central, eastern and south-central Kenya, and in several parts of Tanzania.
Near Normal were observed much of the rest of the Region.
