Rainfall
Moderate to high rainfall exceeding 100mm occurred in northwestern parts of Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-100mm occurred in southern parts of Sudan, in southwestern Eritrea, in much of South Sudan, western and central Ethiopia, in Uganda, and in western parts of Kenya.
Light rainfall of between 6-25 mm occurred in central to eastern Sudan, western Eritrea, in northeastern Ethiopia, in southwestern Uganda, in coastal Kenya, in western and central Rwanda, and in northern Burundi.
Much of the rest of the region recorded less than 5 mm of rainfall
Sudan, in northwestern, western and southern Uganda, in Rwanda, southeastern Ethiopia, in parts of southern Somalia and in northwestern parts of Tanzania.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in eastern parts of Sudan, in southwestern Eritrea, and in northwestern and central Ethiopia.
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in central Sudan, in South Sudan, in parts of eastern Ethiopia, in northern and southern Somalia, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, in southern Uganda, and in northwestern Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in eastern Sudan, northwestern and central Ethiopia, and in parts of southwestern Eritrea.
Near normal rainfall condition was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea, Ethiopia, Djibouti, northern to central Uganda, and western and coastal Kenya.
