Rainfall
- Heavy rainfall (between 100-200 mm) not observed in the region.
- Moderate rainfall (between 50-100 mm) observed in southern and south-eastern parts of South Sudan, northern and south-eastern Uganda, Lake Victoria region of Tanzania and Kenya, most parts of Burundi and Rwanda, central and coastal parts of Kenya, costal parts of Tanzania.
- Light rainfall (between 25-50 mm) observed in most parts of south-western, central, and north-eastern Uganda, south-western Ethiopia, southern parts of South Sudan, and northern Tanzania.
- Rainfall range between 5-25 mm observed over most parts of eastern and northern Tanzania, northern Kenya, southern and western Ethiopia, Red sea coastal parts of Sudan, and Eritrea.
- Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) conditions in most parts of Sudan, most of Eritrea, northern parts of South Sudan, central and northern Ethiopia, and northern Somalia.
- Much wetter than usual conditions observed over Red Sea coastal parts of Sudan and northern Eritrea, south-eastern South Sudan, northern parts of Turkana region and coastal parts of Kenya, coastal parts of Tanzania, southern and central Somalia.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed in southern and eastern Rwanda, southern Burundi, south-western South Sudan, isolated areas in south-western Ethiopia.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed in sporadic areas in central South Sudan, Gambella region of Ethiopia, central and north-eastern Kenya, western Rwanda, and central Burundi.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions observed in most parts of southern and central Tanzania, south-western Uganda, most parts of Ethiopia, north-western South Sudan.
- Much drier than usual conditions observed over north-western South Sudan, western Tanzania, isolated areas in central Ethiopia.
- Moderately to severely wet conditions observed over Red Sea coastal parts of Sudan and northern Eritrea, south-eastern South Sudan, northern parts of Turkana region and coastal parts of Kenya, coastal parts of Tanzania, southern and central Somalia.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed in sporadic areas in central South Sudan, Gambella region of Ethiopia, central and north-eastern Kenya, western Rwanda, and central Burundi.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions observed in most parts of southern and central Tanzania, south-western Uganda, most parts of Ethiopia, north-western South Sudan.
