Rainfall
Heavy rainfall between 100-200mm was observed in some part of western Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm was observed in western and southwestern parts of South Sudan, in western parts of Ethiopia, in western, and southeastern Uganda, and in parts of western highlands of Kenya.
Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm was observed in several parts of South Sudan, in parts of western, southern and eastern tip of Ethiopia, in northwestern, central and southern parts of Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in the south-central and southeastern parts of Sudan, in central and eastern parts of Ethiopia, in northwestern and central parts of Somalia, in northeastern, central and coastal parts of Kenya, and in northwestern and northern coast of Tanzania.
Usual dry rainfall was observed in several parts of Sudan, Eritrea Djibouti, northern and southern Somalia, northeastern Ethiopia, in northern, eastern and southern parts of Kenya, and in several parts of Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in southeastern parts of Sudan, western parts of Ethiopia, in central parts of Somalia, in north-central, northeastern, central and southeastern South Sudan, in part of western, northeastern and eastern Uganda, and in western highlands of Kenya.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in several parts of western South Sudan, in southern parts of Ethiopia, in several parts of Uganda, in parts of western Kenya, in western and northern Rwanda, in northern and eastern Burundi, and in northwestern parts of Tanzania.
Drier than usual conditions were observed over southwestern Sudan, in a few areas in northwestern and eastern South Sudan, in much of Eritrea, Djibouti, northeastern and eastern Ethiopia, in much of northern and southern Somalia, in much of the rest of Kenya, in eastern parts of Rwanda, in southern parts of Burundi, and in much of Tanzania.
Moderately to severely wet conditions were observed in southeastern parts of Sudan, in north-central, northeastern, central and southeastern South Sudan, in western parts of Ethiopia, in a few parts of western, northeastern and southwestern Uganda, in central parts of Somalia, and in parts of western Kenya.
Moderately to severely dry conditions were observed southwestern part of Sudan, in parts of northwestern, and in a few areas in eastern and southwestern South Sudan, in eastern parts of Ethiopia, in northeastern and parts of southern Somalia, in eastern Rwanda, southern Burundi, and in western and southern parts of Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions much of the rest of the region receive near normal rainfall conditions or remained generally dry
