Rainfall

Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in southeastern parts of South Sudan, in the southern, eastern and central parts of Ethiopia extending to the northern, central and southern parts of Somalia, in several parts of northern, western and central Kenya, in northern parts of Uganda, and in parts of northwestern and southern Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in central to southern Eritrea, in some parts of Djibouti, in eastern, western and southwestern South Sudan, in southern parts of Uganda, in parts of Burundi, and in central Tanzania.
Much of the rest of the region recorded near normal rainfall

Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in the southern and southeastern Ethiopia extending to northwestern, central and southern Somalia, in southeastern South Sudan, in northeastern and eastern Uganda, in much of northern, western and central Kenya, and in parts of northwestern, and southern Tanzania.
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in parts of western and southern Eritrea, in much of Djibouti, in several parts of northern, western and eastern South Sudan, in western, northwestern and northeastern Ethiopia, in parts of southern Uganda, in southeastern Kenya, in Burundi, and in much of central to western Tanzania.
No rainfall condition was observed mainly in Sudan.
Near normal rainfall condition was observed in much of the rest of the region.

Rainfall exceeding 200mm was recorded in isolated part of southern Tanzania.
High rainfall of between 50-200mm was recorded in southern Ethiopia, in southeastern South Sudan, in northern Uganda, in southern Somalia, in much of north, central and western Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda, in northeastern and southwestern Burundi, and in northwestern, coastal and southern Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-50 mm was observed in southern parts of South Sudan, in central and eastern parts of Ethiopia, central parts of Somalia, in southern Uganda, in much of central Burundi.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in much of the northern, western to eastern South Sudan, in part of western Eritrea, in parts of northwestern and northern Ethiopia, in northern Somalia, in southeastern parts of Kenya, and in central and parts of southern Tanzania
