Rainfall

Moderately dry to extremely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Tanzania and Uganda, in western and southwestern parts of Kenya, and in parts of southwestern South Sudan.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in northwestern part of Tanzania and in southern part of Burundi.

Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in much of Tanzania, Uganda, central to southwestern Ethiopia, in southern parts of South Sudan and in western, central and southern Kenya.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual condition was observed in the northwestern part of Tanzania.
No rainfall condition was observed in much of Sudan, Somalia, several parts of South Sudan, western and central Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northwestern and eastern Ethiopia, in northern Uganda, and in northern and eastern Kenya.
Near Normal conditions were observed in much of Rwanda and Burundi.

Moderate to high rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in Rwanda, Burundi, northwestern and southern parts of Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in southern parts of Uganda, in parts of western Kenya, and in several parts of Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.
