Rainfall
- Moderate to heavy rainfall (between 100 - 200 mm) recorded in the south-western part of Tanzania.
- Moderate rainfall (between 50 - 100 mm) recorded in western and southern parts of Tanzania.
- Light rainfall (between 25 - 50 mm) recorded in much of Burundi, part of southern Rwanda, and in central and north-western parts of Tanzania.
- Minimal rainfall (between 5 - 25 mm) recorded over central Eritrea, in parts of north and south-western Ethiopia, in southern Uganda, and in central and western parts of Kenya.
- Usual dry conditions recorded in Sudan, South Sudan, Djibouti, western and southern Eritrea, much of Somalia, Ethiopia, northern Uganda, several parts of Kenya, and in north-western Tanzania.
- Much wetter than usual conditions observed in Rwanda, eastern Burundi, north-western and southern Tanzania, and southern Uganda.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed in south-western Ethiopia, central parts of Kenya, and central Tanzania.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed over western parts of Kenya, western Burundi, and western and north-eastern Tanzania. The eastern parts of Ethiopia, much of Somalia, and northern parts of Kenya are experiencing a dry season which continue to extend the drought conditions in these areas.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions observed in north-eastern Ethiopia, southern Eritrea, and parts of south-eastern Kenya.
- Much drier than usual conditions observed over isolated parts of south-western Kenya.
- Moderately to severely wetter than usual conditions observed in several parts of Tanzania, Rwanda, north-western Burundi, and central and western Uganda.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed over most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia, northern Uganda, several parts of Kenya, Somalia, much of Burundi, western and north-eastern Tanzania. Southern parts of Tanzania, several parts of Somalia, eastern Ethiopia, and northern Kenya continue to experience drought conditions.
- Moderately to severely drier than usual conditions observed over isolated parts of south-east Kenya.
