Rainfall

Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in much of central to southern Uganda, in western and central Kenya, in southern Eritrea, in northern, central and southwestern Ethiopia, and in northern central, eastern and southeastern Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few areas in southern Rwanda extending to northern Burundi, and in southwestern part of South Sudan.
No rainfall condition was observed in in much of Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, western Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northern, western and eastern Ethiopia, in northern parts of Uganda, and northern, eastern and southeastern Kenya.
Near Normal conditions were observed in southern Burundi, in northwestern, western and southwestern Tanzania.

Moderate to high rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed Rwanda, Burundi and in much of western and parts of central and southern Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in southern parts of Uganda, in western and central Kenya, in northwestern Rwanda, and in northeastern and coastal Tanzania
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.

Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in western and southwestern Uganda, in western and central parts of Kenya, in northwestern Rwanda, southwestern Burundi, in northern, central, coastal and southeastern parts of Tanzania.
Moderately wet conditions were observed in a few isolated areas in southwestern South Sudan, southern Rwanda extending to northern Burundi and in part of northwestern Tanzania.
