Rainfall
Heavy rainfall between 100-200mm was observed in a few isolated areas in north-west South Sudan, and north-western Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm was observed in parts of south-west and south-central Sudan, in north-western, southwestern, and eastern parts of South Sudan, in northern and western Ethiopia, and in some parts of western Kenya.
Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm was observed in the southern parts of Sudan, in south-western Eritrea, in north-eastern, eastern, and western parts of South Sudan, in eastern margins of western Ethiopia, in northern and south-eastern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in central parts of Sudan, in north-western Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in central and south-eastern South Sudan, in north-eastern and central parts of Ethiopia, north-eastern and central parts of Uganda, in parts of western, central and coastal Kenya, in south-eastern Somalia, and in the northern coast of Tanzania.
Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) was observed in much of northern parts of Sudan, in northern coasts and southern parts of Eritrea, southern and eastern Ethiopia, northern, central, and south-western Somalia, in western and southern Uganda, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, in northern, eastern and southern Kenya, and in much of Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few isolated areas in central and south-central Sudan, northern Ethiopia, and north-west South Sudan.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in south-western and south-central Sudan, in central and southern Eritrea, in western, north-eastern, and eastern parts of South Sudan, in parts of northern and western Ethiopia, and in southern parts of Somalia, in part of western and coastal Kenya.
Drier and much drier than usual conditions were observed in eastern and south-eastern Sudan, western parts of Eritrea, in north-centra, central, and south-eastern South Sudan, in western, central, and north-eastern Ethiopia, in much of north, central western, and eastern Uganda, and in north-western western parts of Kenya.
No rainfall conditions were observed in northern Sudan, eastern and south-eastern Ethiopia, northern and central parts of Somalia, in south-western Uganda, in northeastern, eastern, and southern parts of Kenya, in Rwanda and Burundi, and in much of Tanzania.
Moderately to severely wet conditions were observed in a few isolated areas in central and south-central Sudan, in north-western South Sudan, and in north-eastern Ethiopia.
Near usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of Eritrea, Djibouti, southern parts of Sudan, northern and south-western parts of Ethiopia, north-eastern, western, and southern parts of South Sudan, in north-western, central, and coastal parts of Kenya, in southern parts of Kenya, and coastal Tanzania.
Moderately to severely dry conditions were observed in south-eastern Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in north-central and central parts of South Sudan, in western and central Ethiopia, over several parts of Uganda, in western parts of Kenya.
