Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in central to southwestern parts of Sudan, in western, central and northeastern Ethiopia, in southern Djibouti, in central, eastern and southeastern South Sudan, and in eastern Uganda.

Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in parts of eastern and south-central Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, and in parts of south eastern Somlai.

Usual rainfall conditions and no rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.

Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in central to southwestern Sudan, in southern parts of Eritrea, southern parts of Djibouti, in parts of central and southeastern South Sudan, in western, central and northeastern Sudan, and in eastern Uganda.

Drier than usual conditions were observed in eastern and south-central Sudan, in western Eritrea, in southwestern Uganda, and in parts of southeastern Somalia.

Near Normal or no rainfall conditions were observed much of the rest of the Region.

Moderate to heavy rainfall of exceeding 100 mm was observed parts of western and central Ethiopia.

Moderate rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in several parts of South Sudan, in southwestern Eritrea, in parts of western, northwestern and central Ethiopia, in northern, central and eastern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.

Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in central parts of Sudan, in southwestern Uganda, in parts of southern Somalia, and in southeastern and northwestern Kenya.

Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region
