Heavy rainfall of between 100 – 200 mm was observed in western and northern parts of Ethiopia.

Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 26 - 100 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in much of South Sudan, the western, northern and central Ethiopia, in northern, western, central and southeastern Uganda, and in western parts of Kenya.

Light rainfall of between 5 - 25 mm was observed in parts of central Sudan, in western Eritrea, in eastern margins of central Ethiopia, in southwestern Uganda, in southeastern Somalia, and in central and coastal parts of Kenya.

Usual dry rainfall was observed in northern and central parts of Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, in northeastern, eastern and southern Ethiopia, in much of Somalia, in northern, eastern and southern parts of Kenya, and in much of Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.

Wetter than usual conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in northern and southwestern Ethiopia, in eastern and southern parts of South Sudan, in northern, western, central and southeastern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.

Drier than usual conditions were observed in northwestern part of South Sudan, in northwestern and coastal parts of Kenya, in southeastern Somalia, and in much of Rwanda,

Usual rainfall conditions were in observed in south-central parts of Sudan, in western and central Ethiopia, in much of western and central South Sudan, and in eastern and southern parts of Uganda

No rainfall conditions were observed in the northern and central parts of Sudan, in coastal, central and southern Eritrea, in much of Djibouti, in several parts of Somali, in northern, eastern and southern parts of Kenya, and in much of Burundi and Tanzania.

Moderately to severely wet conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, western Eritrea, in eastern and southern parts of South Sudan, in northern and western pats of Ethiopia, in northwestern and central parts of Uganda, and in western parts of Kenya.

Moderately to severely dry conditions were observed northwestern parts of South Sudan, in parts of northwestern and coastal Kenya, and in parts of southern Somalia

Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
