Rainfall
Moderate to high rainfall exceeding 100mm occurred in isolated part of western Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-100mm occurred in western and northwestern parts of South Sudan, in parts of southwestern and southeastern Sudan, in western and northwestern Ethiopia, in southeastern Uganda, and in western parts of Kenya.
Light rainfall of between 6-25 mm occurred in the southern parts of Sudan, in eastern and southern parts of South Sudan, in several parts of Uganda, in southeastern part of Somalia, in coastal Kenya, and in northwestern Rwanda.
Much of the rest of the region recorded less than 5 mm of rainfall
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in several parts of Uganda extending to the southern, central and eastern parts of South Sudan, in south-central Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in central to northeastern Ethiopia, in parts of southeastern and northwestern Somalia, and in parts of western and northwestern Kenya.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in a several parts of Rwanda, in southwestern Uganda, in part of northwestern South Sudan, and part of western Ethiopia.
Near normal rainfall condition was observed in southwestern and southeastern parts of Sudan, in western South Sudan, in northwestern and western Ethiopia, and in western and coastal parts of Kenya.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Uganda, in southern, central and eastern parts of South Sudan extending into south-central Sudan, in parts of central and northeastern Ethiopia, and in parts of western Kenya.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in a few isolated parts of northwestern South Sudan, western Ethiopia, in southwestern parts of Uganda, and in several parts of Rwanda.
