Rainfall

Rainfall of exceeding 100 mm was observed in southern South Sudan and northern parts of Uganda.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in parts of south-central Sudan, in several parts of South Sudan, Uganda and Rwanda, in western and southwestern parts of Ethiopia, in parts of western Kenya, and in northern and central Burundi.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in southern parts of Sudan, in northwestern, central and eastern Ethiopia, and parts of northwestern and southern Somalia, western and central Kenya, and in northwestern parts of Tanzania
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.

Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in parts southwestern and southeastern parts of Sudan, in much of northwestern, central, western and southwestern South Sudan, in parts of central Ethiopia, in several parts of Uganda, and in parts of central and western Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in western Eritrea, in northwestern and in eastern and southeastern Ethiopia, in several parts of Somalia, in central, southern central and northeastern Kenya, and in western parts of Rwanda and Burundi.
Usual rainfall conditions and no rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.

Drier than usual conditions were observed in western and central Eritrea, in northern, eastern and southern Ethiopia, in much of Somalia, in northern, eastern, central and coastal Kenya, in parts of northeastern South Sudan, in western Rwanda, western Burundi, and in eastern and coastal Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in southwestern and southeastern parts of Sudan, in much of northwestern, western, central and southern South Sudan, in parts of Djibouti, in several parts of Uganda, in parts of eastern Rwanda, and in parts of central and western Tanzania.
No rainfall condition was observed in northern to central Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti and northeastern Ethiopia, in parts of northern Kenya, northeastern Somalia, and central and southern Tanzania.
Near Normal were observed much of the rest of the Region.
