Rainfall
- Heavy rainfall (between 100-200 mm) observed in isolated areas south-western South Sudan, and northern Uganda.
- Moderate rainfall (between 50-100 mm) observed in southern, south-western and north-eastern South Sudan; sporadic areas in western, southern and north-eastern Ethiopia; isolated area in costal part of Tanzania; western Kenya, and most parts of Uganda.
- Light rainfall (between 25-50 mm) observed in most parts of South Sudan, central and northern Uganda, western Ethiopia, and southern parts of Sudan.
- Rainfall range between 5-25 mm observed over most parts of Burundi, southern Rwanda, central Kenya, north-western Tanzania, central Somalia, and southern parts of Sudan.
- Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) conditions in most parts of central and northern Sudan, north-eastern Ethiopia, and Turkana region of Kenya.
- Much wetter than usual conditions observed over costal and eastern parts of Tanzania, north-western Kenya, north-eastern Uganda, southern parts of South Sudan, sporadic areas in southern and north-western Ethiopia, and south-western Sudan.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed in western Tanzania, south-western and central Uganda, sporadic areas in Ethiopia, and southern parts of South Sudan.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed in sporadic areas in western and central South Sudan, southern parts of Sudan, southern Uganda, sporadic areas in north-western Tanzania, and central Kenya.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions observed in most parts of Eritrea, eastern Sudan, northern and southern Somalia, eastern Ethiopia, south-eastern Kenya, everywhere in Burundi, most parts of southern and central Rwanda, and north-eastern Tanzania.
- Much drier than usual conditions observed over north, costal and north-eastern parts of Kenya; and south-western Somalia.
- Severely wet conditions observed over costal and eastern parts of Tanzania, north-western Kenya, north-eastern Uganda, southern parts of South Sudan, sporadic areas in southern and north-western Ethiopia, and south-western Sudan.
