Rainfall

- Heavy rainfall between 100 - 200 mm was observed in highlands of central and northern Ethiopia.
- Heavy to moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm was observed in most parts of western and north-western South Sudan, highlands of western and north-western pars of Ethiopia, central and northern Uganda,, and highlands of western Kenya.
- Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm was observed in central and eastern South Sudan, southern parts of Sudan, eastern Ethiopia, most parts of southern and central Uganda, highlands of western Kenya, southern parts of Rwanda, and everywhere in Burundi.
- Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm was observed in north-eastern Ethiopia, costal parts of Kenya, and northern Tanzania.
- Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) was observed over most parts of central and northern Kenya, costal parts of Eritrea, central and northern Somalia, and southern and central parts of Tanzania.

- Much wetter than usual conditions were observed in isolated parts in eastern Sudan, north-western Eritrea, south-western and eastern Ethiopia, Karamoja region of Uganda, central rift valley of Kenya, most parts of Burundi, and north-western Tanzania.
- Wetter than usual conditions were observed in eastern Sudan, southern parts of South Sudan, north-western Eritrea, south-western and eastern Ethiopia, southern rift valley of Kenya, and Karamoja region of Uganda.
- Usual rainfall conditions were observed over much of the southern parts of Sudan, central and northern Ethiopia, southern and central Uganda, western and eastern South Sudan, and the Lake Victoria basin side of Kenya.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions were observed over sporadic parts in Sudan, isolated parts in central and western Ethiopia, north-eastern South Sudan, south-western Uganda, southern Somalia, costal parts of Kenya, and Tanzania.

- Moderately to severely wetter than usual conditions were observed in isolated parts in eastern Sudan, north-western Eritrea, south-western and eastern Ethiopia, Karamoja region of Uganda, central rift valley of Kenya, most parts of Burundi, and north-western Tanzania.
- Usual rainfall conditions were observed over much of the southern and eastern parts of Sudan, south-western and north-eastern South Sudan, most parts of south-western and central Uganda, costal and highlands of western Kenya, most parts of southern and northern Ethiopia, and southern and central Burundi.
- Moderately to severely drier than usual conditions were observed over sporadic parts in Sudan, isolated parts in central and western Ethiopia, north-eastern South Sudan, south-western Uganda, southern Somalia, costal parts of Kenya, and Tanzania.
