Rainfall

Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in much of Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and southern Uganda, in southeastern South Sudan, in central and southwestern Ethiopia and in western, central, southern and southeastern Kenya.
No rainfall condition was observed in much of Sudan, Somalia, several parts of South Sudan, western Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northwestern and eastern Ethiopia, in northern Uganda, and in northern and eastern Kenya.

Moderate rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in western and southwestern Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in southwestern Rwanda, in western and southwestern Burundi, and in central, northwestern and southwestern parts of Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.

Moderately dry to extremely dry conditions were observed much of Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania, in southwestern parts of Ethiopia, in western and southern parts of Kenya, in southern Uganda, and in southern parts of South Sudan.
