Rainfall

- Moderate to heavy rainfall between 100 - 200 mm observed over Lake Victoria basin, isolated parts in central Kenya, highland of western Ethiopia, and southern Tanzania.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm observed in most parts of central Ethiopia, most parts of Uganda, central Kenya, and northern and costal parts of Tanzania.
- Light rainfall between 25 - 50 mm observed in most parts of southern and central South Sudan, central Eritrea, southern Somalia, northern and south-western Uganda.
- Rainfall between 5 - 25 mm observed over southern parts of Sudan, northern parts of South Sudan, most parts of southern and northern Eritrea, southern Djibouti; northern, lower eastern and costal Kenya; central and northern Somalia, and central Tanzania.
- Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) conditions in most parts of central and northern Sudan, north-western Ethiopia, Djibouti, central and northern Somalia, and most parts of Eritrea.

- Much wetter than usual conditions observed over Blue Nile state in Sudan, north-eastern South Sudan, central, north-western and north-eastern Ethiopia, northern Somalia, northern and south-western Tanzania, and isolated areas over highland of western Kenya.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed in sporadic parts of northern Tanzania, Lake Victoria side of Uganda, and western and isolated areas in central Kenya.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed over central parts of South Sudan; northern, south and south-eastern Ethiopia; most parts of Somali, and sporadic parts of southern and north-eastern Tanzania.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions observed in most parts of northern, lower eastern, and costal parts of Kenya; southern and central Somalia, and many parts of Rwanda.
- Much drier than usual conditions observed over northern and costal parts of Kenya.

- Moderately wetter to severely wetter than usual conditions observed over Lake Victoria basin, Blue Nile State in Sudan, north-eastern South Sudan; central, north-western and north-eastern Ethiopia; northern Somalia, and northern and south-western Tanzania.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed over central parts of South Sudan; northern, south and south-eastern Ethiopia; most parts of Somali, and sporadic parts of southern and north-eastern Tanzania.
- Moderately drier to severely drier than usual conditions observed in most parts of northern, lower eastern and costal parts of Kenya, southern and central Somalia, and many parts of Rwanda.
