Rainfall

Moderate rainfall of between 51-100 mm was observed in northwestern and western Ethiopia extending to southeastern boarders of Sudan, and also in northwestern and western part of South Sudan.
Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, in northern and central parts of South Sudan, in central part of Ethiopia, and in parts of western Kenya.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in much of the southern parts of Sudan, in southwestern Eritrea, in central parts of Ethiopia, in southern parts of South Sudan, in northern and eastern Uganda, in southwestern Somalia, and in western, central and south eastern Kenya.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region

Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Uganda and South Sudan, in a few areas in central and south-central Sudan, in central and southwestern Ethiopia and in northern coast of Tanzania.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in some parts of southwestern and southeastern Sudan, and in a few areas in northern Ethiopia.
Usual rainfall conditions and no rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.

Drier than usual conditions were observed in much of Uganda and in southern parts of South Sudan, in central parts of Sudan, in parts of central and eastern Ethiopia, in parts of western and northwestern Kenya, and in western part of Rwanda.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in southwestern and southeastern parts of Sudan, and in parts of norther Ethiopia.
Near Normal or no rainfall conditions were observed much of the rest of the Region.
