Rainfall
Moderately to severely wet conditions were observed in parts of western and southeastern Sudan, in parts of southwestern Eritrea, in much of Djibouti, in several parts of southwestern, central and northeastern Ethiopia, in northern parts of Somalia, in eastern and southern parts of South Sudan, and in western Kenya.
Moderately to severely dry conditions were observed in parts of central Sudan, in northern and part of central South Sudan, in parts of northern and southern Ethiopia, and in southern parts of Uganda.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in southwestern and southeastern Sudan, in southwestern Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northeastern, central and southwestern parts of Ethiopia, in northern Somalia, in parts of southeastern South Sudan, in western parts of Kenya, and in southern Burundi.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in central and eastern parts of Sudan, in parts of western Eritrea, in northern, southern and eastern parts of Ethiopia, in parts of southern Somalia, in coastal and central parts of Kenya, in southern Uganda, and in northwestern and eastern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in several parts of South Sudan, in parts of northern and central Ethiopia, in northern, central and eastern parts of Uganda, and in parts of Rwanda and Burundi.
No rainfall conditions were observed in northern parts of Sudan, in coastal and central Eritrea, in parts of southern Ethiopia, in parts of central and southern Somalia, in northern, central and southern parts of Kenya, and in several parts of Tanzania.
Heavy rainfall exceeding 200 mm was observed in parts of western Ethiopia.
Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 26 - 200 mm was observed in the southern parts of Sudan, in much of South Sudan, in northwestern, western and central Ethiopia, in northern, western, eastern and central Uganda, and in western Kenya.
Light rainfall of between 5 - 25 mm was observed in central to eastern parts of Sudan, in south western Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northeastern and eastern parts of Ethiopia, in northwestern Somalia, in central and parts of coastal Kenya, in southwestern Uganda, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northwestern part of Tanzania.
Usual dry rainfall was observed in much of central and northern Sudan, in northwestern, coastal and central Eritrea, in coastal parts of Djibouti, in northern and southern parts of Ethiopia, in several parts of Somalia, in much of northern, eastern, central, southern and coastal Kenya, and in much of Tanzania.
