Rainfall
Rainfall of exceeding 100 mm was observed in the central parts of Eritrea, in isolated parts of western and southwestern Sudan and northwestern South Sudan, and in northern Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in much of the central to southern Sudan, in western and central Eritrea, in several parts of Djibouti and South Sudan, in northern, northeastern, western and central Ethiopia, in northern, western central and eastern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in the northern margins of central Sudan, in coastal and southern parts of Eritrea, in parts of coastal Djibouti, in parts of centra, western and coastal Kenya, in southern Somalia, in southern Uganda, and in western Rwanda.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in southeastern and parts of southwestern and south-central Sudan, in eastern and southern parts of South Sudan, in parts of western and southern Ethiopia, in southeastern Somalia, in western and northern Burundi, in several parts of Rwanda, in central and southeastern Kenya, and in coastal and northern Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in central, western and eastern Sudan, in several parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, in central and southern parts of South Sudan, in northeastern Ethiopia, in western and northeastern Uganda, and in northwestern Kenya.
No rainfall condition was observed in the northern parts of Sudan, in northern, central and southwestern Somalia, in eastern and southern parts of Ethiopia, in northern, eastern, central and south-central Kenya, and in several parts of Burundi and Tanzania.
Near Normal were observed much of the rest of the Region.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in southeastern and south-central parts of Sudan, in northeastern, eastern, central and parts of western South Sudan, in northwestern, western and parts of central Ethiopia, in several parts of Uganda, in western and northwestern Kenya, in northern and eastern Rwanda.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in several parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, in western to eastern and in parts of southwestern Sudan, in northeastern Ethiopia, and in parts of northern Somalia.
Usual rainfall conditions and no rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
