Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall of between 51-200 mm was observed in northwestern, central and southern parts of Tanzania, and in part of western Kenya.
Moderate rainfall of between 26 - 50 mm was observed in Rwanda, Burundi, in parts of western Kenya, and in parts of northwestern and central Tanzania.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in parts of northwestern and central Eritrea, in parts of northeaster and southwestern Ethiopia, in southern parts of Uganda, in parts of central Kenya and in northeastern Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in much of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan, in several parts of Ethiopia, in much of northern and central Uganda, in northern, central, coastal and eastern Kenya.
Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in parts of western Kenya, and in southeastern parts and in the northwestern parts of Tanzania around Lake Victoria
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in western and southwestern parts of Uganda, in southern parts of Burundi, and in western and southwestern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in parts of western Kenya, and in northwestern and southeastern Tanzania.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in parts of central and southwestern Ethiopia, in central, western and southwestern Uganda, in much of central, southern and southeastern Kenya, in southern parts of Burundi, and in parts of northwestern and southwestern Tanzania
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in central and southern Eritrea, in much of Djibouti, in parts of central Ethiopia, in southeastern Uganda, in part of western Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda, and in several part of central and western Tanzania.
No rainfall conditions were observed in much of Sudan, South Sudan, western Eritrea, Somalia, in parts of northwestern and eastern Ethiopia, northern Uganda, and in much of northern and eastern Kenya.
