Rainfall
Moderately wet conditions were observed in western central and southern Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northeastern, northwestern, central and southwestern Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Ethiopia, in parts of Djibouti, in a few parts of southwestern and central Uganda, in isolated parts of western and southeastern Tanzania.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in western, central and southern parts of Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northwestern, northern, central and parts of southern Tanzania.
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in several parts of Ethiopia, central and western Uganda, in eastern and coastal parts of Kenya, and in coastal parts of Tanzania.
No rainfall condition was observed in much of Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, western Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northwestern and eastern Ethiopia, in northern Uganda, and in northern and northeastern Kenya.
Near Normal conditions were observed in southern Uganda, in the rest of Tanzania.
Moderate to high rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed western, central and southern parts of Kenya, and in much of Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred southern parts of Uganda, in parts of western and central Kenya, and parts of northern coast of Tanzania.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.
