Rainfall

Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in southeastern parts of Sudan, in southwestern Eritrea, in northwestern and western Ethiopia, in southeastern Somalia, in parts of eastern and southwestern South Sudan, and part of northwestern Uganda.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in eastern, central, western and southwestern Sudan, in parts of northern South Sudan, in parts of central Eritrea, in northeastern part of Ethiopia, in central, southern and eastern Uganda, in parts of northwestern Kenya
Usual rainfall conditions and no rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.

Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in eastern to western and southwestern parts of Sudan, in central Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in northeastern part of Ethiopia, in parts of northern South Sudan, in central, southern and eastern Uganda, and in parts of northwestern Kenya
Drier than usual conditions were observed in south eastern Sudan, in southwestern Eritrea, in northeastern and southwestern South Sudan, in parts of western and south-central Ethiopia, and in southeastern Somalia.
Near Normal or no rainfall conditions were observed much of the rest of the Region.

Moderate to heavy rainfall of exceeding 100 mm was observed parts of western Sudan, northwestern part of South Sudan, and in parts of northern Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in much of the central to southern parts of Sudan, in western and central Eritrea, in several parts of South Sudan, northern, western and central Ethiopia, in several parts of Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in western parts of Sudan, in central parts of Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in southwestern Uganda, in southern parts of Somalia, and in coastal parts of Kenya.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region
