Rainfall

Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed southern parts of Ethiopia, in eastern South Sudan, in southwestern and eastern parts of Uganda, in western, eastern and coastal Kenya, in southern and central parts of Somalia, and in northwestern and western, coastal and southern Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in a few areas in western Eritrea, in western and southern South Sudan, in northeastern Ethiopia, in several parts of Rwanda and in northern Burundi, and in northwestern and eastern parts of Tanzania.
Much of the rest of the region recorded near normal rainfall

High rainfall of between 50-200mm was recorded in southwestern Ethiopia, in southern Uganda, in western, central and eastern parts of Kenya, in southern Burundi, and in several parts of northwestern, western and southern Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall of between 26-50 mm was observed in in southern parts of Somalia, in northern, central and southwestern Uganda, in several parts of Rwanda, in northern Burundi, in parts of southern coastal and eastern Kenya, in northeastern Tanzania, and in southwestern parts of Ethiopia.
Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in western and southern parts of South Sudan, in central and eastern Ethiopia, in parts of central Somalia, in northwestern parts of Kenya.
Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.
