High Rainfall Accumulation (101–300mm)
- High Rainfall (101–200mm): Recorded in a few areas of western Ethiopia.
Moderate to High Rainfall (26–100mm)
- Predominantly observed in western Eritrea, western Ethiopia, southern Sudan, several parts of South Sudan, eastern and northeastern Uganda, and western Kenya.
Moderate to Low Rainfall (6–25mm)
- Observed along the coastal areas of Tanzania, Kenya, and Somalia; central to western Kenya; several parts of Uganda; a few areas of South Sudan; and central Sudan, Ethiopia, western Eritrea, and northern Somalia.
Very Low or No Rainfall
- Observed in Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, southern Uganda, several parts of Kenya, southeastern and northeastern Ethiopia, several parts of Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, and Sudan.
Wetter than Normal to Much Wetter than Normal Conditions
- Much Wetter than Normal: Observed over most of Sudan, western Ethiopia, western Eritrea, and a northern belt of South Sudan extending from west to east, with isolated pockets in Uganda and Somalia.
- Wetter than Normal: Observed in areas surrounding the much-wetter-than-normal zones highlighted above.
Near Normal Conditions
- Predominantly observed along the northern and coastal parts of Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, and South Sudan, as well as Uganda and western Kenya.
Much Drier and Drier than Normal Conditions
- Predominantly observed in Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Djibouti, with pockets in South Sudan and Sudan.
No Rain
- Observed in Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Kenya, southeastern Ethiopia, Somalia, and northern Sudan.
