Rainfall
High Rainfall Accumulation (101-300mm)
- High Rainfall (101-200mm): These amounts were recorded in a few areas in central and western parts of Kenya, northern and eastern parts of Kenya, western and northeastern parts of South Sudan, and western Ethiopia.
Moderate to high Rainfall (26-100mm)
- These were observed along the coastal and northwestern parts of Tanzania, coastal, central and western parts of Kenya, southern and northern parts of Uganda, most parts of South Sudan, western and eastern parts of Ethiopia, a few pockets in Somalia, and southern parts of Sudan.
Moderate to Low Rainfall of between (6mm–25mm)
- These were observed in most parts of Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, southwestern Uganda, several parts of Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, western Eritrea and southern parts of Sudan.
Very Low or No Rain Very Low Rainfall: These were observed in central to western parts of Tanzania, eastern parts of Kenya, northern parts of Somalia, northern parts of Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea and several parts of Sudan.
Wetter than Normal to much wetter than normal Conditions
- Much wetter than Normal: This category was observed over Mt. Kilimanjaro area and northwestern pockets in Tanzania, central, western and northwestern parts of Kenya, a few pockets over the eastern parts of Uganda, several parts of South Sudan, western and southeastern parts of Ethiopia, several parts of Somalia, and southern parts of Sudan.
- Wetter than Normal: This category was observed in areas surrounding the darkest green areas including in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, and South Sudan and Sudan.
Near Normal Conditions
- Predominantly observed in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and western Eritrea.
Much Drier and Drier than Normal Conditions
- Predominantly observed in central parts of Tanzania, southwestern Uganda, Kenya, southwestern and northern parts of Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Sudan.
No Rain
- Observed in Tanzania, Kenya, northern tip of Ethiopia, Djibouti, some parts of Eritrea and northern parts of Sudan.
