GHACOF 69: Climate Services for Closing the Early Warning Gap Together
The IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC), in collaboration with partners, is organising the 69th Greater Horn of Africa Climate Outlook Forum (GHACOF 69) from 20th to 21st January 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (Hybrid format).
Theme: "Climate Services for Closing the Early Warning Gap Together"
This forum will bring together climate scientists, policymakers, development partners, and sectoral users to:
- Reflect on the performance of the OND 2024 season.
- Present the regional climate outlook for MAM 2025.
- Discuss implications and strategies for climate resilience.
Pre-forum activities include a Climate Prediction Development Workshop (13-17 January) and Sector Co-Production Workshops (20 January).
The working language for the forum is English.
