The 74th Greater Horn of Africa Climate Outlook Forum (GHACOF 74)
Theme: Harnessing Climate Services for Early Action and Resilience in the Greater Horn of Africa Region in the Face of a Strong El Niño
The 74th Greater Horn of Africa Climate Outlook Forum (GHACOF 74), convened by the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC), will be held on 17–18 August 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda.
The forum will bring together National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) in the region, climate experts, policymakers, development partners, and sector stakeholders to release the October - December 2026 regional climate outlook, sectoral advisories, and advocate for the use of climate information for informed decision-making and preparedness across the Greater Horn of Africa.
