- Warmer than usual conditions expected over eastern Sudan, most parts of Ethiopia, central to southern Somalia, Kenya, southern South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania.
- Near normal temperatures expected over most parts of Sudan, northern areas of South Sudan, south-eastern Ethiopia, northern Somalia, and central to northern Kenya.
- Drier than usual conditions are expected over most parts of Tanzania and Burundi.
- Near normal to above normal conditions expected over western and northern Tanzania as well as over Rwanda.
- The rest of the region is generally dry in February.
