- Warmer than usual conditions expected over the whole region.
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over central to southern South Sudan, much of Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and northern Tanzania.
- Drier than usual conditions expected over a small area in western Ethiopia and parts of north-eastern, western and southern Tanzania.
- The rest of the region is generally dry during this month.
