- Warmer than usual conditions expected over northern and southern areas of Sudan, central to northern South Sudan, central to southern Ethiopia, southern areas of Eritrea, central to southern Somalia, much of Kenya, part of northern and central to south-eastern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and much of Tanzania.
- Cooler than normal conditions expected over western, central to eastern Sudan, western Eritrea, southern South Sudan, northern Somalia, western and north-eastern Uganda and north-western Kenya.
- Wetter than normal conditions expected over Sudan, western Kenya, most parts of Ethiopia, Uganda, south-eastern and north-western South Sudan, Eritrea, and Djibouti,
- Drier than usual conditions expected over south-western, central to north-eastern areas of South Sudan, isolated areas in western Ethiopia, and part of coastal Kenya.
