- Warmer than usual conditions expected over northern areas of Sudan, much of Ethiopia, Djibouti, northern and southern Somalia, much of Kenya, south-eastern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and much of Tanzania.
- Cooler than normal conditions expected over central to southern Sudan, western Eritrea, southern and north-eastern South Sudan, northern and central Somalia, northern and south-western Uganda, north-western Kenya, and western Tanzania.
- Wetter than normal conditions expected over western Kenya, parts of southern and north-western Somalia, most parts of Ethiopia, eastern Uganda, most parts of South Sudan and Sudan.
- Drier than usual conditions expected over part of southern and south-eastern Sudan, central Ethiopia, north-western Uganda, and few areas in southern Somalia.
