Temperature
- High monthly average temperatures of 30˚C is expected over central parts of South Sudan; north western and eastern Kenya; extending to south western Somalia.
- Moderate monthly average temperatures between 24-28˚C expected over the rest of the region.
- Moderate to low monthly average temperatures between 22-14˚C expected over much of north western Sudan; central and northern Ethiopia; central and part of western Kenya; southwestern tip of Uganda, northern Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi and isolated areas in Tanzania.
Alert: In the coming three days Tanzania, southwestern Kenya, southeastern Uganda, Burundi, and Rwanda are expected to receive heavy rainfall (80 mm). Some areas in central Tanzania are expected to receive between 100-150 mm. The risk of flooding continues to be high, preparedness and early action are highly advised.
- Above normal rainfall expected over southern and south-eastern Ethiopia; Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti, Rwanda, Burundi and much of South Sudan.
- Normal to below normal rainfall expected in central, western, and northern Ethiopia; parts of southwestern South Sudan and Sudan.
