- Warmer than usual conditions expected over parts of eastern South Sudan, Ethiopia, Djibouti, much of Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and western and southern Tanzania.
- Average temperatures expected over Sudan, much of Eritrea, northern areas of Somalia, south-western Kenya, much of South Sudan, northern Uganda, and central and eastern Tanzania.
- Cooler than usual conditions expected over few areas in central Tanzania, and southern South Sudan.
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over central and north-eastern Tanzania.
- Usual conditions expected over much of north-eastern and southern Tanzania, eastern Burundi, and Rwanda.
- Drier than usual conditions expected over western areas of Burundi and Rwanda, and around the lake Victoria Basin in Tanzania.
