- Average to cooler than usual conditions expected over central Somalia.
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over a few areas in eastern and western Ethiopia, coastal and north-western Kenya, southern coastal Somalia, and parts of western and eastern Sudan.
- Drier than usual conditions likely over parts of eastern, central and southern Sudan, South Sudan, central to eastern Uganda, western Kenya, central to northern Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Eritrea.
- The rest of the region will be generally dry.
