Temperature
- Average monthly temperatures of between 16˚C and 22˚C are expected in central and western parts of Ethiopia, parts of central and western Kenya, south western Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and localized areas in Tanzania.
- The highest average temperature, that exceeds 32˚C, is expected over northeastern Sudan.
- The rest of the region is likely to experience temperatures of between 22˚C and 30˚C.
- Above normal rainfall expected over Uganda, Rwanda, southern South Sudan, western and central parts of Kenya, northern Burundi, southern and eastern parts of Ethiopia, north and central Somalia, and north and eastern parts of Tanzania.
- Below normal rains expected in central and western Sudan, northern and southeastern Ethiopia, southwestern Somalia, eastern Kenya and western and central Tanzania.
