Drier than usual conditions over Kenya, Uganda and northwestern Tanzania and warmer than usual temperatures over most parts of the region
- Most parts of the region are expected to record warmer than usual temperatures, especially eastern Kenya, northeastern Ethiopia, northern Sudan, western Rwanda, and southwestern Uganda.
- Average temperatures are expected over southern, central, and western Tanzania, central to northern Uganda, the cross border region between Kenya, Ethiopia, and South Sudan, central parts of South Sudan, and part of northern Somalia (Puntland region).
Drier than usual conditions over Kenya, Uganda and north-western Tanzania and warmer than usual temperatures over most parts of the region
- Drier than usual conditions are expected over much of Kenya (especially northern Wajir and eastern parts of Marsabit counties), north-western Tanzania, southern Uganda, south-western Ethiopia, coastal lines of Djibouti, and Eritrea. Farmers, pastoralists, and all stakeholders are advised to take appropriate measures to mitigate the impact of these drier than usual conditions.
- Wetter than usual conditions are expected over central and southern Tanzania, limited and isolated areas in coastal Sudan, and south-western Kenya.
- Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and much of Somalia are usually dry during this time of the year.
