Temperature
- Warmer than usual temperatures indicated over the whole region.
- Highest probabilities are indicated over northern Sudan, parts of Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, and Tanzania.
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over northern and southern coastal parts of Somalia, south-eastern Ethiopia, cross-border areas of Ethiopia-Sudan-South Sudan, and coastal Kenya.
- Drier than usual conditions expected over most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, central to northern Uganda, western Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Eritrea.
- No dominant categories indicated over western, central to south-eastern Sudan, and isolated areas in western Ethiopia and Kenya: these areas might record below, normal or above normal conditions.
- The rest of the region covering Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, eastern and southern Kenya, southern Ethiopia and most parts of Somalia will be generally dry during this season.
