Temperature
- Warmer than normal conditions expected over southern parts of Somalia, central to south-eastern Ethiopia, much of Kenya and Tanzania, Burundi, a few areas in Uganda, and northern Sudan.
- Average temperatures likely to be recorded over southern Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, western South Sudan, and few areas in central Somalia.
- Cooler than normal temperatures expected over north-eastern Uganda, north-western Kenya, eastern South Sudan, western and northern Ethiopia, much of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, and northern areas of Somalia.
- Wetter than normal conditions expected over most parts of the northern Greater Horn of Africa
- Normal to depressed rainfall expected over coastal Kenya, extending to adjacent areas of Somalia and parts of south-eastern Ethiopia.
- Tanzania, Burundi, much of Kenya, south-eastern Ethiopia, and central Somalia are generally dry during this season.
