- Warmer than usual conditions are expected over eastern Tanzania, much of Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan, western and northern parts of South Sudan, and small areas in western Uganda.
- Usual conditions are expected over north-western Kenya and the adjacent areas of Ethiopia and South Sudan, north-western Uganda, and areas in southern Tanzania.
- Cooler than usual conditions are expected over much of Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, western Kenya, south-eastern South Sudan, and areas in south-western Ethiopia.

- Wetter than usual conditions are expected over western Kenya, much of Ethiopia, parts of central and northern Somalia, eastern and north-western South Sudan, Rwanda, northern and coastal Tanzania, and southern parts of Sudan.
- Usual conditions are expected over south-eastern Ethiopia, much of southern and north-eastern Somalia, coastal Kenya, much of Uganda, and south-western South Sudan.
- Drier than usual conditions are expected over localized areas in south-eastern Ethiopia, southern areas of Somalia, and South Sudan.
