Temperature Forecast 01 - 08 Dec
- Warm temperatures above 28℃ are expected in parts of Turkana, Marsabit, Garissa and Wajir counties in Kenya; Afar region in Ethiopia, parts of southern Somalia, and extreme southern Tanzania.
- Moderate conditions in the range of 20-28℃ are expected in southern Sudan, South Sudan, central to northern Uganda, much of eastern Kenya, much of Somalia, and much of southern and northern Ethiopia.
- Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20℃ are expected in regions of northern Sudan, central Somalia, central Ethiopia, western Kenya, southern Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi.

Headline: Heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of Burundi, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Kenya.
- Heavy to very heavy rainfall (within the top 5 - 10 % on record) is expected over Mbeya in Tanzania (more than 200 mm); Burundi, southern Rwanda, Kenya (particularly parts of Kajiado, Makueni, Kitui and Taita Taveta counties), and northern Tanzania with amounts ranging from 50-200 mm.
- Some parts of Kenya, Uganda and Somalia will remain dry until 5th of December 2020. From the 5th of December to 8th of December rainfall of at least 10 mm is expected in central and northern Kenya, parts of southern Ethiopia, and south-western Somalia.
- Sudan, northern parts of South Sudan, and Somalia are expected to remain dry.
Note: 1 mm of rainfall is equivalent to 1 liter of rainfall per square meter.
