Headline: Moderate rainfall in Tanzania, dry conditions over the rest of the region.
- Moderate to heavy rainfall between 100 to 200 mm is expected in southern Tanzania (within the top 5% on recored in a few scattered areas).
- Light rainfall less than 30 mm expected in central, northern and western Tanzania.
- Dry conditions are expected over the rest of the region.

Temperature
- Warm temperatures above 28 ℃ are expected in parts of southern Sudan, much of South Sudan, northern and eastern Kenya, south-eastern Somalia, and a few parts in south-eastern Ethiopia.
- Moderate temperatures in the range of 20 - 28 ℃ are expected in central to southern Sudan, western South Sudan, northern and southern Eritrea, Djibouti, parts of northern and southern Ethiopia, central to southern Ethiopia, eastern and north-western parts of Kenya, and much of Tanzania.
- Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20 ℃ are expected in regions of northern Sudan, central Ethiopia, northern Somalia, parts of western and central Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and a few areas in Tanzania.
