- Warm temperatures above 28 ℃ are expected in parts of southern Sudan; central and eastern South Sudan including Eastern Equatoria, Jonglei and Upper Nile states; and western Ethiopia in Gambella.
- Moderate temperatures in the range of 20 - 28 ℃ are expected in Sudan, western South Sudan, Uganda, most parts of Tanzania, northern and eastern Kenya, much of Somalia, Djibouti, much of Ethiopia, and Eritrea.
- Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20 ℃ are expected in central Ethiopia, parts of western and central Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, a few areas in Tanzania, Uganda, northern Somalia, western Eritrea, and northern Sudan.
Rainfall
Headline: Moderate rainfall in southern Tanzania, Burundi, and limited areas in western South Sudan.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm is expected in Burundi; the western regions of Tanzania including Kigoma, Rukwa, Mbeya, western Iringa and Ruvuma; and a few places in western South Sudan.
- Light rainfall less than 30 mm is expected over northern and eastern Tanzania, Rwanda, western Uganda, central and coastal Kenya, southern Somalia, south-western Ethiopia, and western South Sudan.
- Dry conditions are expected over the rest of the region.
