Temperature

Exceptional rainfall
- Rainfall amounts exceeding the top 10% on record expected a few regions in western Ethiopia and isolated areas in northern Uganda, northern Somalia and western Sudan and South Sudan.

Floods Update
- The expected very heavy rainfall over few places in parts of western Ethiopia and isolated areas in northern Uganda, northern Somalia and western Sudan and South Sudan is likely to lead to floods.
- Communities in the areas at risk are advised to exercise caution during this period.

Rainfall anomalies
- More than usual rainfall expected over a few areas in western parts of Kenya, northern Uganda, western South Sudan, parts of central Sudan, western Ethiopia and western Eritrea.
- Less than usual rainfall expected over regions of eastern South Sudan, central to southern Uganda and parts of central Ethiopia and southern Sudan.

Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures expected over most parts of the GHA.
- Cooler than usual temperatures expected over a few areas of Kenya-Somalia border and other isolated areas across the GHA.

Mean temperatures
- High temperatures (above 32℃) expected over parts of northern Sudan, northern Ethiopia, Djibouti, and coastal regions of Eritrea and north-western Somalia.
- Moderate to high temperatures (20-32℃) expected over most parts of South Sudan, Uganda, Somalia, northern and eastern Kenya, north-eastern and south-eastern Ethiopia, central to southern Sudan, and western and eastern Tanzania.
- Mild temperature conditions (less than 20℃) expected over parts of northern to southern Ethiopia, central to western Kenya, central Tanzania and parts of western regions of Rwanda and Burundi.

Heat Stress
- Elevated levels of heat stress expected in most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, northern Somalia and north-eastern Ethiopia.

Total rainfall
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over parts of northern Uganda, western Kenya and western regions of Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Sudan.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected in southern and northern Somalia, western Kenya, central to southern Uganda, central Ethiopia, western Eritrea, central to southern Sudan and central to eastern regions of South Sudan.
